9-11 Reflections

photo credit heavy/news/2013/09/9-11-anniversary-photos-pictures/                 My reflection on 911 that I found important is that people of our country need to remember that a lot of brave, heroic people laid their life down for others. One of those heroic people could have stopped your family member from dying  so always remember to praise them for all they do. Some firefighters are still dying today because of all the smoke fumes what if that were your son or dad ,mom or daughter. They were running in while you were running out! Our country is an amazing place, yet sometimes there are cruel people that want to destroy it. Even though this tragedy happened almost 16 years ago we shall never forget the bombing on the day September 11th, 2001! There were some people who made the decision to jump out the windows to get away from the fire. Imagine having to almost force yourself to jump out of a 1,362 foot building. All the people who chose to jump from such a tall building did die sadly. I hate that there were so many attacks on our country all in just one day. Not only were the twin towers bombed but the pentagon as well, the family members of these people were probably so devastated over this. That is my reflection over 911 what’s yours???  🙁 🙁 🙁

Life in 5th Grade

In 5th grade I feel much older, and I feel like I have more choices and options I can choose from than I did last year because the teachers trust us more in 5th grade. Also in 5th grade I love having so many teachers because classes are over in the blink of an eye. So far I’m LOVING 5th grade and all my teachers are GREAT! I’m already a student ambassador for my class and we haven’t even been to school for a full month I literally have no complaints about my classes this year!I’m looking forward to all the cool experiments in Mr. McBride’s class. I’m also looking forward to learning all the 50 capitals in America in U.S. history with Mrs. McFall so I can amaze all my family.I’m also ready to learn my math facts so I can know the decimals and dividing and everything else in 5th grade math, to do that I will need some help from Mrs.Ummel and Mrs.Brantley. Oh and I almost forgot to mention doing reading with Mrs. Owens I love reading and writing even though we don’t do a lot of writing in 5th grade I still love doing it! I think that covers about all of what it’s like in 5th grade and all that I’m looking forward to! IT’S GOING TO BE A GREAT 5th GRADE YEAR FOR ME I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT YEAR AS WELL! 🙂 🙂 🙂
